About the event
A Commander event is structured around the Commander format (also known as EDH), where each player brings a 100-card singleton deck led by a legendary creature known as the Commander. These events are typically casual and community-focused but can also be competitive depending on the group or venue.
Basic Structure
Pod Size: Usually 4 players per game (called a "pod").
Decks: One commander + 99 unique cards (no duplicates except basic lands).
Starting Life: 40 life per player.
Commander Damage Rule: 21 combat damage from a single commander = KO.
